I can DRIVE now!?

The title is not clickbait! I passed the permit test and officially can run you over at any moment! Oh, and my birthday was lovely, thanks for asking!

My DMV experience was surprising quick and pleasant, which apparently never happens! I didn't have an appointment (which I guess you're supposed to have?) but they let me in anyway. The woman who let me in anyway was really nice and also giving off such intense gay vibes, which isn't really relevant, but is to me? The test was pretty quick, and I only got two questions wrong despite not really studying and kind of guessing. In my defense, I took all the practice tests, but I guess they don't reflect the actual test that well, because some of the questions were totally not even on there. I do feel really proud of myself for getting some right, like the ones about carbon monoxide (?) which I knew had no scent just from reading either a book or a fanfic in which some awful car accident thing happens. After the test, the cool (gay?) woman wished me happy birthday. It was lovely.

Anyway, I passed and then we went to stand in line to talk to another guy, who was also really nice! I thought DMV people were supposed to be terrible? We didn't even have to wait long and then we were sent to ANOTHER guy who printed a baby picture of me! He was also REALLY nice! I am very lucky. He let me redo my signature as much as I wanted, which was great. 

Then he took my picture, and even though I look a little bit like I just exercised and want to kill someone, it's not that bad and I'm alright with it. 

After all the DMV stuff was done, I went and got two more piercings. 

Then I drove in a parking lot! I forgot which one was the gas and which one is the brakes and accidentally almost drove into the church. Also, whenever I needed to use the gas, I yelled "Come on bus, do your stuff!" in true Magic School Bus style. So, decent first day of driving.

Today (this all happened yesterday) I drove in the parking lot again, and have improved a little. I did a 3 point turn, and used blinkers. Crazy!

Anyway, stay off the roads in Underhill for a while!

It's the middle of Tech Week , so I don't really have time to read, but I managed to finish Emergency Contact by M. H. K. Choi anyway, because it's extremely overdue. This book is literally just Rainbow Rowell's Fangirl. No joke. Rainbow Rowell actually blurbed it ("blurbed" is totally a word, right?), and I can see why she liked it- it's basically just her own book. The main character, Penny, is a bit of a sort of awkward, introverted nerd, but still decently pretty. She's heading off into her freshman year of college. Her roommate and her roommate's bestfriend are both pretty and extroverted and fond of pushing Penny into social situations. Penny meets a guy. They text a lot. And also, she has a broken relationship with her mother and is writing a big thing because she is at college to be a writer. So yeah, it's just pretty much Fangirl . It's finally time for another edition of "What's Delilah Been Reading?"! After reading approximately 1 book in 3 months, Librarian Lisa knocked some sense into me and I finished 3 books over break. To quickly talk about the other two: Quiet Girl in a Noisy World: An Introverts Story - D. Tung This one's a small little graphic novel! It's short, but adorable and was nicely relatable, though straighter than I was hoping for. (Don't) Call Me Crazy- 33 Voices Start the Conversation about Mental Health - K. Jensen This was a collection of pieces from different authors about their experiences with mental health. Some parts were kind of boring, and I think it needed more poetry. The main reason I read it was because Adam Silvera had a piece in it. His piece was amazing. I love Adam Silvera. Also, the rest was pretty good. But! Back to the point. Ivy Aberdeen's Letter to the World

Guys. I just finished reading Ivy Aberdeen's Letter to the World . This book made me cry like 7 times. Not pretty crying.This "juvenile" book made me cry more than the Fault in our Stars did. It just feels so young and real and scared but hopeful, and honestly, dgkhsJFKSKYSHKG I have to buy this.
