Boomwhackers, exhibitions, and other life updates

I had a wonderful break in which I only left the house once! Sunday, some friends came over, and we played boomwhackers. They stayed over for a while and I still felt happy! Videos:

This week at school we have exhibitions, which is where students give a 25 to 30 minute presentation of their learning. I got mine out of the way and did it yesterday, and it felt really good and I'm happy with the result. My slideshow was pretty, and I smiled and projected and I think people were impressed/satisfied. For my interaction component, I brought in crickets for everyone to eat, and almost everybody did, which I wasn't expecting! Even the adults! I felt really good about that. 

Everyone's reviews are very nice (with Elizabeth's being one of the meanest) and I think I did a pretty good job for my first exhibition.

Also there are no other life updates, except my goat is pregnant.

It's the middle of Tech Week , so I don't really have time to read, but I managed to finish Emergency Contact by M. H. K. Choi anyway, because it's extremely overdue. This book is literally just Rainbow Rowell's Fangirl. No joke. Rainbow Rowell actually blurbed it ("blurbed" is totally a word, right?), and I can see why she liked it- it's basically just her own book. The main character, Penny, is a bit of a sort of awkward, introverted nerd, but still decently pretty. She's heading off into her freshman year of college. Her roommate and her roommate's bestfriend are both pretty and extroverted and fond of pushing Penny into social situations. Penny meets a guy. They text a lot. And also, she has a broken relationship with her mother and is writing a big thing because she is at college to be a writer. So yeah, it's just pretty much Fangirl . Guys. I just finished reading Ivy Aberdeen's Letter to the World . This book made me cry like 7 times. Not pretty crying.This "juvenile" book made me cry more than the Fault in our Stars did. It just feels so young and real and scared but hopeful, and honestly, dgkhsJFKSKYSHKG I have to buy this.
