Yesterday was a Good Day and Here's Why
Yesterday, while I was sitting sadly in the MMU lobby after math class, I got a snapchat from Bella. Now, this was not an ordinary snapchat. No, this snapchat was about pie. It was an apple crumble, with the caption "A kid in math class brought in food and now we are kind of having a party.". The only correct response to that is one that conveys jealousy, and sadness. Bella jokingly responded, "come and get some!". I think most of you should know that any chance for apple pie, sarcastic or not, is one I won't give up.
With only a handful of minutes until I needed to be on the bus, I abandoned my bucket in the mostly empty lobby and speed walked through the halls. Bella's math class was on the other side of the building, so I had to rush if I wanted to get both the pie and my bus. Finally, I approached the door of Katie Parker's math 1 class. It was open, and inside I could hear a woman talking about how many seconds are in a minute.
I strode into the classroom, and over to Bella's seat in the front row. Katie Parker promptly stopped talking, and once I realized that I might have been a tiny bit of a distraction, I said "Hi, sorry," and then picked up Bella's fork and took a bite of her pie. Once I had accomplished my task of getting a bite of pie, I waved, and left, leaving everyone slightly more confused, and probably more entertained, than they previously had been.
Once I arrived at SBHS, I settled in for 2nd period, and then heard an announcement over the loudspeaker, calling me to the attendance office. The attendance office feels a little bit pointless, and also involves interaction, and I didn't entirely feel like going. Naturally, I figured out how to avoid it and instead sent another Big Picture student pretending to be me. It worked beautifully.
Also, I found a large piece of cardboard with a stop sign printed on it, and honestly. It's fantastic.
During SDL, (independent work block), Gretel was working kind of next to and in front of me. I grabbed a handful of clothespins and tried to stick as many as I could on her shirt without her noticing, instead of actually being productive. I got 7 on before I giggled too much and gave it away. Then we both just kind of loudly laugh/cried for like, a solid 5 minutes.
AND at the end of the day we played Anomia and it was loud and stressful and perfect.
