Things I Miss About The Coop

Having a very social and exciting lunch. Big Picture lunch is quiet (at least so far), and seems to be very functional. You sit, and eat, and maybe theres a quiet conversation. Still better than having to go to the cafeteria. I also miss having flexibility in WHEN lunch is.

Couches. Floor space. Having freedom to be in a comfortable space. BP is definitely more chill than "normal" school, but we still dont have ANY chairs that are actually comfortable. We have those blue plastic ones. Sitting on the table or floor is allowed, so I've been working with that.

Imagination! High schoolers are so boring, for the most part.

The ability to avoid work by walking around and observing whatever mayhem is happening. NO MAYHEM HAPPENS. People just sit in chairs, and do things on laptops. Probably work. Ugh. I will have to come up with a new procrastination technique for this environment!

Wifi. The wifi sucks and I cant connect to it on my phone because reasons. It's terrible. Also, I cant access either of my school emails. Or my grades or homework assignments. So that's fun!

Teachers being excited and happy and uncivilized. BP teachers are... great, but ordinary. Like someone vacuumed the personality out of them, and ended up giving it to Jessie. At least we still get to call them by their first names! I actually overheard someone calling Jim "Jimothy" so I guess theres hope.

RECESS. Guys, help me. I am in desperate need of an "introvert on a swing" time.

Coop Kids. All of you. Every. Single. One.

Art. Drawing time. Creativity for the sake of being creative.

Having Fridays be something a little more special. (I mean, this could happen? Maybe in the future?)

Having people who understand my cat like personality. Guys, I need people who understand that I can be grumpy and introverty but secretly love my people. Also, there's nobody for me to hold hands with or put my head in their lap or literally any human contact. I think I'll get there? Hopefully?

Teachers that get sidetracked. Teachers that get too excited about lessons. Teachers who want energy in the classroom. Teachers who take the time to make sure each student is happy and thriving. Teachers who allow themselves to be humans in front of students. Coop Teachers. Coop Teachers. COOP TEACHERS.

Missing you all,
Dj
